Location and interior photos for Casa Pelaez Hotel and Event Space in Cebu, Philippines. It’s a little surreal to see your childhood second-home, built by your grandfather in the 40s, completely remodeled and turned into a boutique hotel. On one hand it’s nice to see it restored to its former glory — it had fallen into pretty bad disrepair in the years before it was purchased and renovated by my hotelier uncle — but on the other it’s very weird to spend time there, familiar and foreign at the same time.
