When I found myself without any candy to hand out one Brooklyn Halloween, I instead opened up my home studio to the passing trick-or-treaters so that they could get little souvenirs of the costumes they worked on. They got fun pictures, I got portfolio fodder. It was win-win. Best of all: no cavities!
