My first macro lens ever arrived today. I’ve never been a huge fan of macro photography. It just never appealed to me. Taking pictures of raindrops on leaves or ladybugs humping was never really my cup of tea.
That said, I can foresee myself using it a lot for stock photography to sell. There are lots of ideas that I could take advantage of with a macro lens (such as this shot) that could sell. And at 50mm f/2.8, it makes a decent portrait lens too.
