I stayed up until 3:00am on a worknight to get a shot of the eclipse. I’ve never shot the moon before and it was kinda obvious by the fact that I was attempting to do so with a 200mm lens.

As I was about to leave the roof, I ran into the guy I rent lenses from at Adolf Gassers’s — a bit of an odd person to run into on the roof of my building, but there it was. He had a Canon 5D and roughly 800mm worth of glass (a 200mm + multipliers). Much better suited for astromonomical shooting. When the next eclipse rolls around, I’ll have to remember to rent a better lens than the ones I own.
