Everything is all glass nowadays. Cold and sterile and homogenized and shiny. Nobody spends time making buildings pretty and unique anymore. It’s all slick and shiny.

That’s one of the things I love most about cities like San Francisco and New York. While they have more than their fair share of glass behemoths, they also have entire neighborhoods built of brick and mortar, not glass and metal. Give me ‘classic’ over ‘catchy’ any day.
