Am back. A bum video card put my computer out of commission for a few days.

While I was away, I got a new toy — my very first Holga! Eager to try it out, I slapped in some expired color film I had sitting in the fridge and took it out riding with me.

Due to User Error, I wound up with all my photos being slightly overlapped. It was a little annoying, but I have to admit it makes some of the photos even more interesting.

I’ll be posting a few others over the next few days.

  • Hopefully that overlap won’t ruin anything.I don’t think it has with this one.

“Well, I can always crop the photos if I want them “”clean”” but the beauty of Holgas is the randomness and unexpected results. Plus, I kinda like the effect caused by the overlapping. It’s like an accidental diptych. 🙂

There are a few others on the rolls that I’m eager to see “”close up.”” I’m also still trying to decide if the film borders add to or detract from the presentation.”

  • I’m not sure if they add anything, but I don’t think they distract too much either.
