The shot reminds me of those scenes in movies like Clash of the Titans or Jason & The Argonauts, where the hapless virgin is left by the ocean cliff face to be eaten by a Hydra or a Kraken or god-knows-what. All the scene is missing is an animatronic monster.
Taken by the Sutro baths in San Francisco. There’s a small tunnel that lets out to a rocky shore. The tunnel is directly to her left. I scrambled along the cliff face to find a good vantage point to shoot from.
