Taken while on the BART the other day.

I’m still getting used to the d700. It’s a wonderful, glorious piece of equipment, and my last year with a d300 has definitely made the learning curve a lot less steep, but there’s still a lot to learn.

In other news, I have a new lens arriving tomorrow. A Sigma 50mm f/1.4. From what I’ve read it’s a fantastic lens, arguably (by some) better than the Nikon 50mm f/1.4G. The price could be better, but if it’s good enough, it’s worth the few extra bucks.

One day I hope to get my hands on some “big boy lenses” of my very own. Ones like the Nikkor 17-35 f/2.8 and the 14-24 f/2.8. Though I have a feeling it’ll be a while before I have the ability to drop $1,500 on a lens.

But one day.
