I always found it interesting that companies (especially, though not limited to, clothing companies) would market their wares to “regular folks” by showcasing them on people who probably fall into the top 1% of the global beauty scale. You’ll never see Calvin Klein or American Apparel hiring models with pudgebellies or fat thighs unless their either being ironic or specifically targeting the overweight market. In which case they’ll hire a Size 6 model to sell clothing to Size 16 clientele.
