San Francisco has one of the highest populations of homeless people in the country. And while some people find it to be a nuisance, I find that it supplies you with a pretty rich resource of subjects, especially when you see some of the more colorful homeless people.

This shot was taken on the sidewalk right outside a friend’s old apartment. He had the distinct pleasure of living on the corner of 8th and Mission, which was home to a lot of bums and crackheads. Not a great place to take a date home to, but a wonderful location for street shooting.

Also scanned from a shot taken with my FM10.
