It was a surprisingly-warm 74º this past Sunday, so I took advantage of it by going to Astoria Park — right across the street.
It was an absolutely picturesque scene. Families out having picnics, lovers walking hand-in-hand, dogs running about. The only thing missing was someone flying a kite. Or maybe I just didn’t see them.
I took a number of shots of various things in the park, not to mention the two bridges — the Triboro and the Hell Gate bridges — flanking it, but I think I like this one best of all. It’s not very dynamic, but it manages to capture the feel of the park that day.
